What a telesales day looks like
You work through a call list on a dialer, open each call quickly, find out what the person needs, handle their objections and log the result. Targets matter: most jobs measure your calls, conversations and sales.
Who does well
People who enjoy talking, don't take a "no" personally and keep their energy up across a shift. Clear English matters more than a perfect accent. Some telesales jobs train you from the start, and the job page says so.
Is telesales the same as cold calling?
Cold calling is the first part of telesales: calling people who aren't expecting you. Some jobs stop there and pass interested people on; telesales jobs usually take you through to the sale.
How is telesales pay made up?
Usually a monthly basic salary plus a KPI bonus and commission on sales. Each job shows its own terms, set by the company.
Can I do telesales from home?
Some telesales jobs are remote and some are on-site. The work-from-home page shows only the remote ones.
